A lot of people have asked me what Just A Trying To Make It is about. Well it’s what it says on the tin. I am an ordinary guy who grew up on a council estate trying to succeed in life. When I
first started this blog it was to primarily about talking about my recovery from a severe epileptic attack I had in 2014, which left me with excruciating pain in my knees and the inability to move my legs and walk. This thankfully lasted only few weeks, but the pain is something I now need to manage for the rest of my life.

The focus in my life is on moving forward and ensuring that I live to the fullest. At times I will still talk about how my health affects me or how I have to recognise what my body needs. But my primary goal is to work with young adults in a mentoring and supportive capacity. I hope my experiences can help them navigate their way through life. I am not thinking for a minute that I know everything and I am the oracle of all wisdom. But I understand that resilience, grit and growth are key for success. These characteristics enable me to run my own web development and digital company that I am striving to develop even more. I’m just a guy trying to make it, so that I can be proud of the legacy I leave behind.

My previous career in teaching has given me experience working with teenagers and young adults who often feel lost in the system. I want to continue in this role but will hopefully be able to help a greater number of young people in fulfilling their ambitions through an online platform.

My site will document my highs and lows as I give a real account of what I go through and hopefully this will motivate others to continue striving for their own success. Please join me on this journey by following me. Get involved by leaving comments and asking questions which I ensure I will answer.
